About
A studio shaped by the teachers who hold it.
Today's movement and mindfulness teachers are creators, founders, and community leaders. The Oasis was built by a teacher, for teachers — a sanctuary where independent practices thrive on their own terms. Designed to nurture entrepreneurship. Built to sustain the modalities we love to share.
Hosted in downtown Encinitas, where ocean waves provide the soundtrack, sunlight becomes architecture, and joy fills the room. A mid-century modern Oasis devoted to movement, mindfulness and the vibrant spirit of our coastal community.

Our Values
All of our teachers are here because it's their passion. The Oasis is a home for teachers to land their craft as full creators: the sequencing they've built, the voice they've developed, the relationships that sustain them. Autonomy. Quality. Community.
The Model
Independent teachers rent studio space and keep every dollar their students pay. Teachers set their own prices, choose their own schedules, and build their own communities — with the support of a beautiful shared space. You're supported by a space designed to make you feel like a founder, because you are one.
For Everyone
From beginners to advanced practitioners, there's a place here — for teachers to build their infinite potential, and for students to find the guide they've been looking for.
A Note from the Founder
A space built by a teacher,
for teachers.
Founded by Frances Tharp
In a world moving faster than most of us can process, teachers of yoga, movement, and embodied practices are doing something quietly extraordinary... helping us feel at home in ourselves again. Offering a class experience that can, without exaggeration, change the trajectory of a life.
What most people never see is what goes into that hour. Teaching is a form of art. It's a craft.
The years of study. The hundreds of hours of training. The early mornings and the late evenings spent sequencing, refining, preparing. The ongoing commitment to a craft that asks everything of the body, the mind, and the spirit. Teaching is not a side endeavor. For those who do it with real devotion, it is a calling and a full life's work.
And yet, the industry has not kept pace with that reality. My hope is to create a mini-revolution in the industry, a place where teachers can share their art and sustain a living. I opened The Oasis to create a space where independent teachers could keep 100% of their revenue, nurture their entrepreneurship, and build thriving practices on their own terms.
It's time.
Keep following your path of infinite potential,
Frances
